My husband is not a shopper. He appreciates new clothes — just not the process of acquiring them. I’ve gotten in the habit of grabbing him new shirts when I see something he might like, but they weren’t always a hit, and before long it seemed like every tee in his closet looked exactly the same. About a year ago, I happened to click on an ad for Wohven, a men’s T-shirt subscription service. I’ll admit it, I’m a bit of a sucker for anything that promises to send a scheduled “surprise” to my doorstep, so it didn’t take me long to decide that my husband needed these tees in his life.

When his introductory shirt arrived, the first thing I noticed was the simple modern design, interesting enough to catch the eye, but subtle enough to not look like you’re trying too hard. My husband is a bit of an outdoorsman (aka, he's slightly obsessed with everything outdoors), so he appreciates that each design reflects some aspect of an outdoor lifestyle—mountains, maps, trees, camping. Wohven handpicks a new artist each month, so each tee has a little spark of originality.

The tees are well made and the material is of good quality. They don’t stretch or become baggy throughout the day, they’re an optimum length, and they provide just enough room for movement in the chest and shoulder area. Added bonus, they wash well—I’ve noticed minimal piling and/or thinning of the material. In fact, I was so impressed with the shirts that I recently signed myself and our 10-year-old daughter up for a subscription as well. I’m looking forward to layering them under cardigans or flannels and pairing them with booties or sneakers!

Wohven allows you to customize your subscription by choosing either a crew or v-neck. And if graphic tees aren’t your thing, you can opt for a solid version of their same great-quality shirts. They’ve also added fun socks and kids’ tees to their subscription services, along with a few other “upgrades”—like long sleeves or tees made in the USA.
