Has anyone else noticed Buffalo Plaid popping up in their social media feeds? Perhaps we have Joanna Gaines & Fixer Upper to thank for it’s resurgence, but it seems to be trending in the interior design world. No matter the room or decor style, it adds a touch of class of and a little bit of whimsy - and I’m a sucker for both. According to Woolrich, who the red and black print originated with, the style dates back to 1850 and was named after the designer’s beloved herd of buffalo. Lucky for us, you can now find this timeless plaid in many different color combos, from subtle to spunky. So far, I’ve incorporated it into my home with a few throw pillows in the living room (pictured above) and duvet covers in the girls’ room...but my own personal herd of buffalo is still in the works!
